Confused…

Breakaway Episcopal churches win round in property fight
“This fall the court will consider our property claims against those who have left the Episcopal Church and yet continue to occupy Episcopal Church property while loyal Episcopalians are forced to worship elsewhere,” the diocese said Friday. “That is simply wrong.”
“The people in the CANA congregations were free [...]

Way to go! (revisited)

Here’s another article about the Exodus Mandate Project I mentioned a couple of days ago.
The tragedy is that too many conservative Christian, Republican parents who want their children to have a different worldview — their own — willingly participate in the destruction of their children’s minds by turning them over to a way of thinking [...]

Strange Blogging Days

I tried a couple of time in the last few days to post, but computer problems on my end and (I think) a server problem on their end led to no posts.

Fred the Barbarian

Okay, Fred Flintstone was actually a caveman, right?  I grew up considering him the most barbaric barbarian on the planet.  Every night he put that poor kitty outside the door while Dino and the family all curled up in their nice, warm beds INSIDE the house.  Why did the dog get to come in and [...]

Shameless Link

Subtitle:  An Attempt to Appear Smart
Sermon: St. Mary Magdalene by Father Hollywood
No, the feminists won’t like this one for sure. :)  Just another reason to rush over and read it!
Besides the shameless attempt to appear well-read and smart by linking to Father Hollywood, his sermon reminded me of some thoughts that have been banging around [...]

Chain restaurants are working overtime to make themselves look and feel more “homey”.  McDonald’s, Starbucks, Panera (my FAVE!), to name a few.  Cushy chairs, fireplaces, Wi-fi, and dark wood interiors.
We Americans spend so much time away from our homes in these fast-paced days.  Could it be that deep inside most of us still seek that [...]

We planted somewhere around *150* pea plants to arrive at our *cough* bountiful harvest.  Lack of water didn’t help the situation, plus we planted later than we would have liked because of The Big Freeze in April.
Considering that we quadrupeled our harvest from last year, think where we’ll be if we can do the same [...]

My Confirmands

Yes, Rooster and Princess were confirmed back on Palm Sunday.  I have absolutely no excuse for not posting the picture sooner.  Well, I do have excuses, but they’re pretty lame.

Sigh.  Two down.  One to go.  Sigh.  I’m getting old.
VBS is now officially over for 2007.  This week I will rest and recover before [...]

Seven Things

My friend Susan tagged some of us to list seven random, uninteresting things about ourselves. So here goes:
1.  I’m making strawberry jam as I write this list and I did not skim the foam off the top when I boiled the berries.  There just wasn’t enough to skim
2.  I did not graduate from college until [...]

Tagged!

Well, this is the first time I’ve been tagged and I haven’t done a good job of keeping up.  Still having silly mouse issues, although the mousie appears to be behaving tonight so I’m going to give it a go.
So, I was tagged by Tanya at In Search of Something More and I’m supposed to [...]

Vacation!

We spent last week in Tennessee. First in Nashville at Vanderbilt and the remainder of the week in Memphis.
I’d love to write more, but my mouse is possessed and just getting this little bit in has taken five minutes.
