And I just can’t hide it! Oops. Got carried away.
High today is only supposed to be 77 degrees! My curtains are open, the windows are up, and the ceiling fans are on high. I’m so thankful for this chance to air out the house in June.
I absolutely HATE air condition, but I’m not so stupid [...]

Three teen-age boys were out having a good time when they were hit by an out-of-control car on an offramp. They rolled three times before the car came to rest.

I get tired of hearing how Free Market Capitalism is somehow The Most Biblical form of economy on the planet. Capitalism, like every other type of economy or form of government, is not immune from sin. In the case of capitalism, greed rears its [...]

WAIT! Don’t answer that…. it’s just a rhetorical question!
Have you ever sat in an old cemetery and wondered about the lives of the people buried there? I wish I could peek into a day in one of their lives. Or read a journal. Or see old photographs.
Have you ever imagined a story to go along [...]

Or writer’s block? Who knows.
It does finally feel like spring, so I’ve been spending a lot of time outside. Weeding, planting, hanging out laundry, sitting and reading. Not so much time for blogging.
It feels strange not to be pouring over curriculum catalogs, trying to figure out what to do next year. We’ve been doing this [...]

Here’s how this one works…
1. The rules are posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions [...]

Back to the blog. Lots of rain today. Lots and lots of water everywhere. Which reminded me that my little ole bloggy notebook where I write quick notes to myself about possible future blog posts had an entry about water. Tap water, to be [...]

Why is it that the people we need most in our country are the ones who get the least respect? Even doctors have been marginalized thanks to insurance companies.
I’d love to give a kick in the pants to certain IT professionals and remind them that garbage pickup can’t be outsourced to India.

I posted this on the SL forum, but the question is still stirring in my brain. What happened to young Johnny Tremaine and his lady-love, ‘Cilla, during the American Revolution? Have you ever thought that about the possibility that he didn’t live through the war? Do you ever think about your 16yo son having to [...]
