Chain restaurants are working overtime to make themselves look and feel more “homey”.  McDonald’s, Starbucks, Panera (my FAVE!), to name a few.  Cushy chairs, fireplaces, Wi-fi, and dark wood interiors.

We planted somewhere around *150* pea plants to arrive at our *cough* bountiful harvest.  Lack of water didn’t help the situation, plus we planted later than we would have liked because of The Big Freeze in April.

The Great Pea Harvest

Don’t laugh.  Please, don’t laugh.  I am thankful that peas are a cold weather crop and we’ll have an opportunity for a second planting later in the summer.  And this year, at least we have enough for an entire dinner.  Last year we only got ONE serving.  One small serving.
